On behalf of the Trustees and management of the African Youth Development Foundation, I want to thank all our partners, sponsors and volunteers for being there for us, all through the year 2018.

This year, AFRYDEF achieved a lot through partnership opportunities it entered into with a number of other organizations, both local and international.

From our work with PIND Foundation, DFID MADE, Bank of Industry, The Funding Space, Hultz Prize International, Alliance for Affordable Internet, Women in Technology, Imo Startups Weekend, Stavis Business Academy to the ongoing training in collaboration with NDE for the CBN managed AGSMEIS fund, we have continued to provide economic empowerment opportunities for Nigerian youths and women.

In 2018, we have also witnessed an increase in the number of young people from across Africa, who have expressed interest to establish chapters of AFRYDEF in their countries and cities. In line with our global vision, this is a welcome development as we shall establish presence in countries, such as Tanzania, Somali and South Africa in 2019.

As our influence on international policy issues, which affect young people directly, especially leadership development and job creation continues to rise, so also shall our responsibilities multiply.

May we therefore use this opportunity to call on all our partners, sponsors and volunteers to do more as we step into year 2019. We shall not rest until we get more youths and women off the streets of Africa. By the grace of God, this is one of the tall objectives that we have set out to achieve in the coming years…

Once again, thank you for making 2018 a year of success for all of us at AFRYDEF.
