Description

In partnership with the Imo State Government, Pro Diverse Ltd, Forward Africa and Joho Integrated Services Ltd,  we are implementing a job search and placement project called Imo Jobs Online and Unemployment Database

Through the interactive web portal, we generate a data of all unemployed persons, all employers and showcase job openings in the state and across the nation for the benefits of Imo youths.

Some of the features of this project include:

  • UNEMPLOYMENT REGISTRATION AND DATA CAPTURE

Unemployment Registration is a feature of the web portal, Imo Jobs Online with the aim of managing the high rate of unemployment.

This gives us a better opportunity to reduce the level of unemployment by adequately planning with the right unemployment statistics at hand.

  • DATABASE OF ALL EMPLOYERS IN IMO STATE

The portal shall also feature a database of all employers in Imo State. Marketing of the portal would be done widely in the state to ensure that the employers’ database is diverse, updated regularly, relevant and of high quality.

  • JOB OPENINGS AND E-RECRUITMENT

Job openings and E-recruitment allows for immediate real-time interaction and 24×7 hiring/job search activity. Employers can post a job in as little as 20 minutes on Imo Jobs Online site with no limits to advert size and start receiving CVs in response immediately. The posting typically remains active for as long as 30 days and continues to receive applicant’s CVs immediately as Imo job seekers come across it.

  • CAREER COUNSELING AND EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS TRAINING

Nowadays, young people do not have access to career counseling centers, where they will be guided in making career choices.

It is also embarrassing to learn that most graduates seeking for employment in both private and public organizations cannot write good CVs and application letters. Worse still is that they do not have interview skills.

Through this project, we shall also provide offline coaching to Imo youths and equip them with interpersonal, team work and communication skills that will prepare them for successful job interviews.
